Lath

Lath is the house's one cedar room. A bath bench and its step stool are built from the same tight parallel laths, set edge to edge with hairline gaps that let steam and light pass through. Every top breaks over its own edge and keeps going down the face — one gesture, repeated at whatever scale the bath asks for, cedar left to smell like itself.
