The Stone Dining Hall
A vaulted hall for ten, set off the Long Room's enfilade, its limestone floor unbroken from room to room. The table runs toward a window on the sea, so late light travels the length of dinner instead of falling on it. Lit niches hold what stands still. Every seat has to hold ten in comfort and let the table stay the room's one true axis.
