Saddle

Saddle puts leather exactly where a body meets the furniture, nowhere else. A library chair's arms end in a hand-span of burnished oak scarfed into waxed leather; a guest bed's headboard is a thick saddle sling buckled beneath, replaceable like a stirrup; a dressing room's every rail is wrapped so a garment never touches metal. Honest hide over honest oak, aging the way a saddle does.
