| Signature | A single open channel, a shaped trench, runs down the base's back face from the socket to the foot, the lamp cord lying visibly in this open trench along the base's exterior rather than disappearing into a hidden bore; the cord and the channel must both be, unhidden, on the outside of the base. the open exterior channel and the cord lying in it are the whole point. |
