| Signature | The bench is built from two complete skins of cedar, an outer shell and a separate inner shell, held a full hand's width (about 5 inches) apart, the air gap between them left open and visible at both ends of the bench like a deep slot running its whole length, with two folded bath towels resting inside the gap, clearly stored in the hollow itself. |
