| Signature | No legs, no plinth, no frame at all, the whole piece is one dense slab of felted wool faced in a single unbroken skin of muted wheat heavy linen (low saturation, laid flat and direct on the floor with its underside touching the ground, The seat rises as one continuous low mass and folds up and back into a thick standing bolster-back, the join between seat and back a single soft compression line in the linen, there is no gap of daylight anywhere beneath the piece; its full underside sits flush on the studio ground exactly as it would sit on a floor. |
