| Signature | The open end's hem is finished in one flat felled band that is OBVIOUSLY, UNMISTAKABLY thicker than the rest of the cloth, roughly a full inch wide, a raised ridge of doubled-over fabric you could see from across a room, running straight across the frame, casting its own small shadow line where it stands proud of the single-layer field beside it. it must read immediately as a deliberately heavy reinforced band, like a cuff, clearly two or more layers of linen stitched flat together, contrasting obviously against the single-layer plain field elsewhere in the slip. |
