| Signature | The carafe's shoulder carries a shallow recessed RING throw-turned into the clay, sized exactly to the small cup's own foot; the small cup sits right-side-up on top of the carafe, its foot dropped into that ring, held snugly in place, a visibly stepped-down, distinctly SMALLER second object perched on the taller carafe below it, with a clear step/ledge in the outline where the two pieces meet, not one smooth continuous taper. explicitly: a single integrated vessel with one continuous flared trumpet mouth at the top that is just a wider opening of the same carafe, that reads as ONE piece, not two, the carafe's interior neck and the cup's interior are completely plain and unmarked, no stamp, no maker's mark, no text of any kind on any surface. |
