| Signature | A cast aged-bronze strap runs up each corner from the chest's base, over the lid's own rear edge, and becomes the lid's hinge itself, there is NO separate hinge barrel or piano hinge anywhere, the corner strap alone is both corner guard and hinge, bending at the lid's rear edge where the lid pivots open. |
