Sunside Pitcher

A stoneware water pitcher, 5 inches in diameter and 9 inches tall, holding about a quart and a half, its pouring lip drawn straight from the vessel wall at the throw with no applied spout. The signature, when tilted toward the pour: the interior is glazed smooth in matte chalk to the very lip, the exterior left entirely raw fired clay, glazed only inside, outside stays raw clay warmed by the sun.
