Waypoint

Waypoint marks where a piece meets the floor. A gallery console stands on feet splayed wide like a surveyor's tripod; a bedroom wardrobe hangs its doors on pegs left proud by a thumb's width; a breakfast chair's leg is a full round, ripped once, its flat face turned forward for anyone to read. Small, confident gestures at the foot of otherwise quiet oak furniture.
