| Signature | The lid does not lift or hinge upward at all, it rides on two exposed aged-bronze rails mortised into the chest's own front face, and is shown pulled part-way forward and down along those rails, sliding clear of the top rather than swinging up, so nothing about opening it ever rises above the chest's own low height. there, only the two bronze rails on the front face and the lid caught mid-slide, angled slightly forward and down. |
