A large outdoor hurricane lantern, roughly 11 inches in diameter and 20 tall in thick-walled clear glass, seated in a hand-carved cast stone saddle base in pale bone, about 10 inches square and only 4 inches tall, a low plinth.

| Signature | The saddle base is a shallow radiused notch scooped across the top of the low plinth, cradling only the bottom inch or two of the glass; the glass stands mostly proud above the stone, a clear thin shadow line visible on every side where glass meets stone, obviously a separate object resting by fit and gravity alone, obviously liftable by hand, sunk, socketed, or fused into a deep block. |
