| Signature | The two glass bulbs are joined directly to a single turned ring of honed alabaster at the centre, pale and faintly translucent, glowing very softly where the falling sand catches light through the stone, there is no wood frame, no metal frame, and no corner posts anywhere; the alabaster ring alone is the timer's entire structure between the two bulbs. |
