Threshold Umbrella Stand

A stave-built cylindrical umbrella stand, 11 inches in diameter, 24 tall, in limed white oak, thin vertical staves glued and banded into a hollow drum. The signature, family kinship with the attached console: the oak cylinder sits on a single honed pale-stone limestone ring-foot, cut to the drum's own footprint, the wood body floats a hand's-width above the floor, stone the only thing touching it.
