A large stoneware pantry canister, 7 inches in diameter and 11 inches tall including its lid, a wheel-thrown body finished in a matte chalk slip over the raw clay body, its rim honed dead flat, closed with a separately turned lid of honed ivory travertine, warm and pale, visibly thicker and heavier than a small jar's lid.
